About

Working from a small studio in Aberdeen our main focus is box making. We started out using fabric to cover greybeard boxes, using a technique known as Cartonnage. Seeking to refine our work we learned from professional bookbinders how to use paper and book cloth and now regularly incorporate these materials.

We mostly, but not exclusively, work with fabrics from Liberty London. Papers and book cloth we source from Hewitts in Edinburgh, Shepherds in London and Cambridge Imprint in - well Cambridge.
We can also make our own book cloth, if needed, for a design.

Most of our work is made to order, so please look at our gallery for examples. Please get in touch and we will do our best to meet your requirements.
